So, I need to fire up the kiln to cook some tiny little pieces that the Grand kids made, which means I also need to make a bunch of big pieces to make it worthwhile.
Here’s what I’ve got so far. Unfired clay isn’t that exciting, there is no color and therefore it’s hard to see the detail. ALL these pieces will be waaaaaaaay better once they’re fired and painted.
First I made a little vase with a goofy face – it’s kind of …meh….
Then a wonky horse – not exactly the way I want it, but a good prototype. I will make another better version of him.
A large vase with a goofy lady – this was made from ideas I got off the ‘net, so it doesn’t really feel like “my” work.
and lastly, another large vase, this time with a man’s face. He is all my own design, and I just love him.
I had soooooooo much fun making these pieces!
Like them. So cool…of course not “Naked Dirty Dancing”, but definite potential.
All look great, look like a lot of fun but like Maureen said you have a way to go.
