Watercolor Lovebirds

Again, I’m doing practice pieces for when I have students in who want to try watercolor.  This is a potential for a class, done as a 10″ x 8″.  The shapes are fairly basic, you need to do shadow work, and you can work on one bird while a different one dries, so no waiting time.

I’m always surprised by how much better a piece looks behind Mat Board, and am very grateful to my Bro-in-Law for giving me scrap pieces to play with.
