I have 111 books in my studio (yes, I counted them) that are Tutorials, and I acquired them slowly over about 10 years. I find that I no longer go to them for inspiration, and decided to get rid of them. Before I do that, however, I’m going to TRY to do ONE PAGE out of each book. Wish me luck……

I didn’t get this done very well, hers was quite bright, mine is very muddy. But I’m pleased with how I did the details of painting around the little spikes that stick out of the Echinacea Head.
gahh, soooo dark! I scribbled over the background with a white pencil, and added some white and dark to define the petals a bit more

Man, I am BAD at trees. They seem like such a simple shape, kinda triangle-y, how hard can it be? Trust me, they’re Hard! Another mediocre page. But I’m not discouraged, just being honest.
The last trees are very, very cool!
