Series – 1 Page From Every Tutorial Book In My Library #8

(As usual, click any image to see it bigger, in a new tab)

I have 111 books in my studio (yes, I counted them) that are Tutorials,  and I acquired them slowly over about 10 years.  I find that I no longer go to them for inspiration, and decided to get rid of them.  Before I do that, however, I’m going to TRY to do ONE PAGE out of each book.  Wish me luck……

11 Books Down, 100 to go….

Book:  The Watercolor Artist’s Guide to Exceptional Color, by Jan Hart

This book should REALLY be called The Watercolor Artist’s Guide to Pathetically Blah Color.  80% of the examples are washed out, barely-there colors.

None the less, I did one of their images, but I used Bob Burridge‘s Color Wheel, and I think it turned out OK.

That’s one angry looking Hummingbird!
