I have 111 books in my studio (yes, I counted them) that are Tutorials, and I acquired them slowly over about 10 years. I find that I no longer go to them for inspiration, and decided to get rid of them. Before I do that, however, I’m going to TRY to do ONE PAGE out of each book. Wish me luck……

Book: The Watercolor Artist’s Guide to Exceptional Color, by Jan Hart
This book should REALLY be called The Watercolor Artist’s Guide to Pathetically Blah Color. 80% of the examples are washed out, barely-there colors.
None the less, I did one of their images, but I used Bob Burridge‘s Color Wheel, and I think it turned out OK.
That’s one angry looking Hummingbird!
