OK, I decided to work with a theme – things that are backlit by a sun/moon kinda shape.
Painted this loose blended background, with the intent of later defining it into a precise circle. Jen convinced me to leave it as is, a more organic random shape. Good call, Jen.
Drew a Raven, first in pencil, then using the Elgant Writer (Bleedy Pen). I drew this from a photograph. I’m trying to use photographs more, and other people’s drawings less.
Added Water, with a brush, and few more random lines, with the pen, leading away from the bird.
Spritzed it to make it bleed. Dang, wrecked it!
So, with nothing to lose, added indelible ink pen, and white watercolor pencil. Back to Awesome!!! Love this because it’s more my style, and it was done without copying someone else.
Jen’s working on a most difficult task – realistic rocks and water!
Love that you walk us through the process. ..all the way from wrecked it …through nothing to lose. ..to awesome. You put a smile on my face.
Amazes me how you say you destroyed it and then turn it into something great!!!!!!!!
The raven is great!
Good for you both .. I think it is great o use pictures whenever you can … Jen I can see the water mist off the waterfall
