Purging – Feels SOOOO Good!

I have a bit of an addiction to cool and/or new Art Supplies, and because of this, sometimes end of with way too many of a particular thing.  In this instance, it’s Acrylic Paint Brushes.

I was storing them in empty pickle jars, mason jars, vases, etc., and had acquired this total hot mess.

Seriously, no one needs this many brushes, and frankly, stored like this, I don’t even have a clue what I’ve got.  I was at one of our local art stores the other day (Opus), and they had these nifty little storage units on sale for $3.50.  I bought three, and they are GREAT!

Here’s what I’m keeping:

Here’s what I’m getting rid of (Lucky you, Lorna – free brushes!)

I can now actually see what I’ve got, PLUS during this purge I found 12 of my watercolor brushes!  Next task – cull them!

I’m a jar gal myself. Those storage units make a lot of sense. It’s the purging thing I have trouble with.

Don;t forget to tell everyone about the fishing reel you found

gahhh, OK, I confess… While cleaning up, I found a brand new, still in the box, Fishing Reel. Why I put it with my watercolor journals is a mystery to me………sigh……………

  4. Your friend Suz that needs to paint and purge more says:

cool ..well done … purging is not one of my skill competencies 🙂
