Yay, another fabulous day in the studio. 7 women and Jen and I – it was cosy, but we made it work! Jen and I both did demos, and walked around providing assistance. Jen very generously shared her paper and paints and tools, but most importantly, her mad skills! Some women had painted before, and some had never picked up a brush. They ALL did wonderful work!
Everybody went home with four different cards, using different techniques.
We tried an Elegant Writer pen for shading
We dropped Salt into a wet sky, for a starry effect
We used a powder product called Brusho – you sprinkle it onto wet paper and the color blooms, or onto dry paper and then spritz it.
And lastly, just whatever technique they wanted to use
Here’s what our yard looked like this morning!
They all look great, I sure hope I get one for Xmas. Couldn’t think of a nicer place for the snow to fall.
Alas, no card for you this year. I did not send out a single Christmas Card. Apparently December came as a HUGE surprise to me! I’ll send you a NON-Christmas card from Hawaii.
My favourites are the first set of snowmen – great work done by all!
Really inspiring. Are you giving classes now or is this a group of friends? Must try the salt and brusho. Beautiful view. Snow not looking likely here…for a while
This was all women we know. I’m hoping to be giving clay classes this spring and summer!
Thanks for the instruction Cher &Jen. Fun day in the studio.
What fun ,,, and oh very creative . Sorry I missed it ., Suz
