Arting With Jen – Project 1, 2015

Wow, I can’t believe I haven’t posted since Early September, what the what????

I’ve actually been doing SOME stuff in the studio, not much, but some.  Lorna and I did Christmas Watercolor cards on 4 or 5 different days….  Why didn’t I post them?  Beats me, but I will.

Anyway, we’re back in Hawaii and I’m Arting with Jen almost every day, YAY!  That girl pushes me….  She’s just so wonderfully diligent about staying with it, and it certainly shows in the constant improvement in her pieces.

I’ll be encouraging us to do Acrylics, abstracted with humanoid figures and/or animals, and Jen will be laying out watercolor lessons.  We’re both making each other do things outside their comfort zone.  For me, that’s anything realistic or with a requirement for precision and accuracy.  For Jen, that’s abstracts, and strange color palettes.

Soooooooooo, on Day 1, I decided I needed to fairly accurately draw something.

Jen, of course, knocked it out of the park with this detailed drawing from a photo.

As usual, thanks for any feedback………stay tuned for more to come………….

I am the lucky one. While you took a break from posting, I was still seeing all your amazing work. Thańks for sharing your studio with me last year, and here’s to another creative year.
