While primarily self-taught, I’ve learned an enormous amount from local artists who offer courses on Vancouver Island. I’ve taken courses with Sheena Lott, Mark Alan Cross, Wendy Welch, and Lauretta Lowell. When I first began dabbling, I thought that I had to nail down a particular medium and make it my own. I’ve since decided that multiple mediums is the way to go, at least for me. I use watercolor, acrylic, multi-media, and clay, as well as puttering around in my woodworking workshop.
